Newly refurbished Community Base
  Community Base
As part of the long term vision for our school we have identified an area that we will use for extending the provision and support for our families. The builders have completed their work so we can now start to decorate and refurbish the area. The Community Base will be staffed by Joyce Keller and Bev Cosgrove who will be based in the old Junior Reception. This area will comprise of a small office and then eventually a suite of rooms which can be used for a range of services. Eventually, the Community Base will become a One-Stop-Shop and be accessible to families on a formal (planned activities) and informal drop-in basis. There will also be timetabled access to the Upper School Hall and stage area.

Joyce Keller (Parental Liaison Coordinator)

My name is Joyce Keller and many of you might know me from the Nursery. Since Easter, I have been working in school as the Parent Liaison Coordinator for Robin Hood as well as still being the Senior Teaching Assistant in the nursery for half the working week.
I will be working closely with our Family Support Worker to establish a community base within the school and extend the range of support and services we offer to our parents.
It is a very exciting time as we aim to make this community base a place where we can hold more courses with crèche facilities, have a job shop, give advice, carry out health checks and hold coffee mornings etc.
We will be placing Suggestion Boxes around school so if you have any comments or suggestions about how we can improve and extend our services, then let us know.

Bev Cosgrove (Family Support Worker)

My name is Bev Cosgrove and I am the Family Support Worker. My role involves organising Family Learning courses and other training opportunities. I am in school Monday-Thursday but can arrange to meet you outside of these times if it is more convenient. I can also offer personal support and help with making phone calls and writing letters to other Agencies on your behalf e.g. Housing, Benefits etc
I can signpost families in the right direction for any specialist help such as Parent line, drug/alcohol support, prisoners’ families and counselling etc.
If you have any concerns regarding your child’s education, behaviour or attendance then I can support and help you as well as assist with transition from Robin Hood to Senior School.
