SHARE GROUP

On Thursday 12th June, the SHARE Group for families of children in Foundation Stage 1 came to its conclusion.

After 12 weeks, the group celebrated with a small buffet, a Creative Workshop and a free raffle with prizes for everyone.

Thursday 22nd May 2014 - SHARE Group have a SPANISH WORKSHOP

Today, the families were joined by Dawn Richardson who teaches Spanish to our children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.

We had a session just for the Parents to help them to understand how a Modern Foreign Language is taught in the Early Years and we were then joined by the children.

They were made spoon puppets together, Spanish Flags, Mantillas for the girls and Corsages for the boys in true Andalucian Tradition!

We then ate crusty bread dipped in Olive Oil,  Manchego Cheese and Spanish biscuits whilst listening to our Spanish CD.

A very enjoyable session to end the Half Term.

Thursday 23rd January 2014

Today, the Share Group for Parents of children in Year 1 came to the end of its 12 week course.

We held a Celebration Workshop and the children were invited to join us and they had a very creative hour making puppets, collages etc.

This was followed by the Presentation of Certificates for everyone involved, a small gift and a free raffle!!

We all  enjoyed a small buffet together and the children took their puppets back to their class to share with their Teachers and their fellow pupils.

Tuesday 15th October - A visitor from overseas!

Today, the Community Base welcomed Mary Nuttall from Ballarat in Victoria, Australia to our School.

Mary works at their University, training Teaching Students on the 4 Year B.Ed Course.  She is also involved in the Share Project in Australia and she came to see the work we do here with our families who are involved in Share.

Mary was also able to spend some quality time with the youngest children in the Nursery.

They presented her with a small gift to remind her of the visit to Robin Hood.

It is very good to hear that the work we do in our School is recognised overseas.
