Spring Term

After learning about instruction writing and writing their own, the children swapped instructions and used each others to make Tudor Houses.

Two more immersive sessions in our English unit, where the children have explored key vocabulary linked to The Great Fire of London.

The children had a great time during The Ambassador Games. It was brilliant to see children from different key stages working so well together.

Today the local fire service came to visit to teach us about fire safety.

We had a fantastic World Book celebrating books. Look at our wonderful costumes!

The children had a wonderful time working collaboratively to make their product following their designs of a moving toy. It was great to see such a variation in designs and products. Next week, the children will evaluate their products against their design criteria and discuss what went well, what they could improve, what they found tricky and what they would like to do next time.

Our Project Outcome ... what an experience! The children got the opportunity to recreate The Great Fire of London. After spending several weeks learning about this historical event, creating Tudor Houses, writing about it in English and having a visit from firefighters, it was time to end our project and burn the Tudor Houses.
