 'Every Child Will Grow'

At Robin Hood our work based on the environment has earned us the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award. We are one of only 2 schools in Nottingham to have achieved this award!

To achieve the award Our Eco-Troopers work hard to ensure that we reduce the amount of energy we use, reduce the litter around the grounds and ensure we Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our rubbish.

In addition, every child across the school has the opportunity to take part in a planting and growing activity. Some of our eco environments include: poly tunnel, raised beds, rotation beds, wild flower meadow, tree nursery, sensory garden, butterfly garden and willo tunnels. These provide a range of opportunities for children to learn outside about the great outdoors.

We also work alongside parents at our very succesful health in communities club, where families learn to grow, harvest and cook their own vegetables. We also visit a local nursing home and maintain and develop their outdoor environment.
