Year 3/4 Sportshall Athletics 2018-19

We enjoyed competing in the annual year 3/4 Athletics Sportshall Competition that had taken place on Monday 4th February 2019 at Parkvale Academy. The pupils had three training sessions to help prepare and be ready for the competition. The training had clearly paid off as the pupils put in maximum effort to eventually come away with the runners up spot behind Gladehill who came top of the heat. Both schools will progress into the Semi Finals that will take place at Harvey Hadden Sports complex on Tuesday 19th March 2019.

Year 3/4 Athletics

Thursday 19th March saw the Athletics team take part in the Semi Finals of the Sports hall Athletics competition. It was to be a fantastic afternoon with the competition set to be at its highest standard yet, with the schools that were taking part. The team had taken part in two more training sessions to ensure they were ready to give 100% in the competition.

We could tell from the very first race how hard the afternoon was going to be, and it proved to be a difficult one with the competition as expected really high standard. We finished 6th and the team can be proud of their achievements showing fantastic resilience!!!
