The girls football team is running again with all the girls very excited to play! We started the season playing against Brocklewood Primary school, in which we played first game of the season last school year. Last year we drew 2-2 against Brocklewood and even went 2-0 down. This school year was a different story as we flew out the blocks almost as fast a Usain Bolt running the 100 metres with Kayleigh Kelly & Chloe Newens scoring 4 goals between them in the space of 2 minutes. However Brocklewood soon settled into the game and stopped the girls scoring anymore before half time.

Half Time 4-0.

Robin Hood came out in the second half showing great resilience to win the ball back at every opportunity, this paid off as the girls created chances after chance. It was pleasing to see so many of the other girls show their ability on the pitch with Lacey Edwards providing and nearly finishing some great team chances. Brocklewood goalkeeper was certainly the busier of the two keepers and made some really good saves to keep Brocklewood in the game. Robin Hood stayed persistent and scored two late goals to finish the game winning in emphatic style 6-0. Well done to all the girls as we move onto the next game of the season.
