Our Lady Vs Robin Hood

The girls football team went on the road for the first time this season playing away against Our Lady Primary School. The girls set up ready for the game with the challenge of not to concede in the first 5 minutes of the game. They were successful but 8 minutes in they conceded a free kick, in which one of the Our Lady girls did a fantastic job to hit a powerful shot in the back of the net.

The girls went in at half time 2-0 down and had to get themselves back in the game quickly to have any chance of taking away any points. Even though the girls worked extremely hard on and off the ball they found themselves 4-0 down. Lauryn Myles did pull a goal back with a great corner from Chloe Newens, and Lauryn could have made the deficit even less after hitting the post from close range! The game finished 5-1. A good hardworking display but also a game in which lots of learning can be made.
