Karnival Cup 2016-17

It was a fantastic afternoon for the boys that represented the school football team at this years Karnival Cup. Having the opportunity to play on the new 4G Pitches down at the Forest zone, it expected to be a great afternoon of football.

Robin Hood started the afternoon really well playing some superb football winning the first two games 3-0 and 1-0. The results stayed positive throughout the afternoon and with the boys going into the final group stage game unbeaten, playing against a heathfield team that had only lost one game themselves all afternoon. Robin Hood only needed a draw to go through to the semi finals, the game was tense and both teams played as if it was a cup final. With Robin Hood creating the better of the chances the game looked positive but it went into the final 30 seconds of the game when robin hood had conceded a corner and couldn't quite clear the ball away and got punished for it as they conceded in the last 10 seconds of the game. Football can be a cruel game but on a positive note the boys played extremely good football and had lots of positive results in the process. Well done boys!
