This half term in Class Castle and Class Oak we have been learning all about celebrations and festivals. We have learnt all about bonfire night, Remembrance Day and what life was like 100 years ago. We have enjoyed looking at Christenings and weddings and how they are celebrated in different cultures and other parts of the world, some of us even had our own weddings!
This term we have also been developing our ICT skills through the use of telephones, computers, CD players and cameras. But we have particularly enjoyed using the ipads. Many of us used them to take pictures of our friends and even some pictures of ourselves. We even used the ipads to film each other, retelling the story of The Little Pigs.
But what we have enjoyed learning about the most has definitely been Christmas celebrations, and practising our Christmas concert. We have looked at how Christmas is celebrated in all different parts of the world such as, Italy, Spain and Russia and have talked about the differences and similarities between how they celebrate Christmas and our Christmas traditions.
