Finding natural objects to make temporary collages

To celebrate arts week we came to school dressed as our favourite artists and made some amazing self portraits with the help of our grown ups.
Miss Davy brought in some old fashioned toys that we enjoyed exploring in our project ‘How Have Toys Changed?’

Playing with a old toys

As part of our project and looking at how toys have changed we made our own Victorian toys.
We invited our Grandparents into school to look at some toys have the past, compare how they are different to the toys we have today and made our own peg dolls.

Grandparents Afternoon

In PE we have been inspired by Toy Story and have created a dance based on the movements of different toys.

In English we enjoyed sequencing The Tale of Two Bad Mice. We challenged ourselves with some tricky old fashioned vocabulary too.
Our first group of children have made it round the reading chart and collected their prize books today.

Our Fantastic Readers!

We have been busy designing our stockings to see if Santa might bring us a little treat before we finish for Christmas.

Christmas Stockings

Class Sheriff enjoyed the opportunity to go to see Pinocchio at The Playhouse. Thomas Waterfall and Chloe were even interviewed afterwards!

Pinocchio at the Playhouse

We enjoyed sharing our Christmas dinner recently - even the packed lunches joined in with the fun!
