Learning across the curriculum
Our first week back has seen another successful theme week all about Light and Sound. The children have learnt about different light sources; what shadows are and how they are formed; keeping safe in the sun; what sound is and how it is formed; how we hear sound; pitch and amplitude and making our own musical instruments from simple household rubbish.

We made our own panpipes from straws - see how they sound.
We finished our week with a visit from two special visitors who explored photograms and making pictures of sound.
