Aiming High to Excel and Exceed

Foundation 2 (Castle and Oak)

We have been finding out about opposites - high/low, sun/shade, moving/still, tall/short.

We are having lots of fun exploring our new environment.

We are enjoying our writing and creative areas.

In Class Castle and Class Oak we have been learning all about the story of Elmer the Elephant and have had lots of fun creating our own Elmers and learning more about ourselves. It has been very interesting to see how much we have changed already when we looked at our baby photos and what we would like to be able to do when we are older. We have discussed what makes us similar to our friends and what makes us different and, more importantly, why we are all unique and special!

We have also been very busy raising money for Children in Need and enjoying our international day learning all about Rwanda.

Merry Christmas everyone!

We have been thoroughly enjoying our Christmas activities and have made calendars, party hats and Christmas cards.

We have been to the Pantomime where we met Dame Daisy and Jack and had fun booing the villian!

Our Christmas party was a lot of fun and we played pass the parcel, musical statues, met Santa and enjoyed delicious party food.

In Foundation we are getting even better at our writing! Our sentences now include finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.

Here we are very busy during our phonic session. Some of us even needed two boards for our extended sentences.
