Autumn Term 1

As part of our topic, Rainforest what Rainforest?, we went to Woodthorpe Park’s hothouse. We enjoyed exploring the hothouse and seeing different types of plants and flowers. We also compared these plants to the trees we see in England.

Rainforest Project

We have taken our learning outside and used iPads to film our retelling of the Great Kapok Tree.

Ipad Outdoor Learning

We have used our independent learning time to embed, practise and explore more about the importance of the rainforest.

Independant Learning

In maths we have been learning and practising how to partition numbers into tens and ones.

Maths

KS1 really enjoyed their Tennis Workshop on Friday 27th September. We learnt lots of new skills including racquet control and how to hit and control the tennis ball.
