Spanish Day
We have had a great time celebrating Spanish Day! We got to dress up in the colours of the Spanish flag - red and yellow- or wore Spanish football kits. We looked carefully at the world map and where Spain is located and what the weather is like there. 🌅
We also explored the Spanish language and practised our greetings and phrases in Spanish. We also practised saying our colours in Spanish and then used this new learning to play a game of colour bingo. We really enjoyed this as we are a competitive year group and we all like to win!😁
We also tried some Spanish food- chorizo, Spanish omelette, bread and olives. Most of us enjoyed the bread, chorizo and omelette but not many of us were keen on the olives. 😃
Spanish day also included looking and famous people who are Spanish and famous landmarks and artists that are from Spain. We used iPads to research some of the beautiful buildings in spin and worked collaboratively to replicate the tiled roof from some of Gaudi’s beautiful buildings.🇪🇸
Just look at all the things we have been up to!
