As part of our daily shared reading sessions we have explored a range of different texts in order fully understand them and ask/answer questions about them. We use our VIPER skills when looking at the text and like to discuss new vocabulary and expressions as they occur. Key texts we have covered so far have included:
- A fact file on Mary Seacole
- A fact file on the Workhouse
- A recipe sheet
- An extract from the Enchanted Wood
In English we have linked our Project to many of our writing focuses. We have written diary entry's pretending we were Florence Nightingale and we have written a biography of her.
Paper copies of all documents and policies on the website are available from the school office.
