This half term, Year 4 have been using a wide range of gymnastics skills to piece together a sequence. This includes ways of travelling, balances, different heights, use of space, rolls and teamwork. We have even used the iPads to peer assess each other’s performances.

PE - Gymnastics

As part of our topic of “How have invasions changed Britain?”, Year 4 visited Jorvik Viking Centre. Here, they learned more of the battle tactics of Vikings, became archaeologists for the day and discovered what the streets of York were like at the time of the Vikings rule.

Visit to Jorvik

After learning about the Viking raid on Lindisfarne in 793, Year 4 worked with the Digital Ambassadors to create a presentation on Clips. This required different text features, voice recording for narration and animations to bring the video to life!
