Aiming High to Excel and Exceed

Spring Term 1

Year 6 loved learning about forces during their first week back after Christmas. They investigated whether the surface area of a parachute affects how quickly it falls. The children made their own parachutes and tested their scientific knowledge. As well as this, they investigated the force of gravity and created marble runs based on their new knowledge.

Year 6 also had the opportunity to create a marble run with a simple task... how slow could they make the ball travel from the top of the table to the floor.
Year 6 loved their Ancient Egyptian VR Experience! They visited the Pyramids, The River Nile and even ventured inside an Egyptian tomb!
Whilst the Ambassadors led the Key Stage 1 Ambassador Games, the rest of Year 6 enjoyed a morning of problem solving. This involved building pyramid structures from sugar cubes, marshmallows and spaghetti!
