Baboon on the Moon
For the first part of this half term, Year 5 have studied the short film Baboon on the Moon during literacy lessons. This links to our space topic. The film is about a baboon who is stranded on the desolate moon. He lives alone. His job is to illuminate the moon each night.
The children have written persuasive letters to the Minister for moonlight, in the role of Mr Baboon, asking to be released from his job. We have focused on including ambitious vocabulary, rhetorical questions, complex sentences and organising our writing into paragraphs. Below are some examples of our wonderful work.
