A very warm welcome to Robin Hood Primary School!
We are delighted that you have taken the time to visit our website and hope it gives you a real flavour of life at our happy and vibrant school. Robin Hood Primary is a caring, nurturing community where every child is encouraged to aim high and believe in themselves each and every day.
From F2 through to Year 6, all pupils enjoy a 32.5‑hour school week, ensuring rich learning opportunities alongside plenty of time to learn, play and grow together.
At Robin Hood Primary, we work in close partnership with our children, staff and parents to bring our shared vision to life:
“To be a community of learners – children, staff and parents – aiming high to excel and exceed. We motivate and inspire all learners to embrace challenge with resilience, show respect for themselves and others, and collaborate positively so that everyone can achieve excellence.”
We pride ourselves on creating an exciting and engaging curriculum that captures children’s interests, develops their talents and nurtures curiosity.
Our aim is for every child to leave us as a happy, confident learner, equipped with the skills, values and resilience needed for the next stage of their journey and beyond.
We hope you enjoy exploring our website and discovering all that makes Robin Hood Primary such a special place to learn.
At Robin Hood Primary School, we are passionate about motivating and inspiring our pupils to be curious, confident and enthusiastic learners. We are incredibly proud of the wide range of opportunities we offer, from high‑quality music tuition and exciting sporting events to outdoor learning and environmental projects that help children connect with the world around them. Our pupils also enjoy making links with other countries, broadening their horizons and developing a true sense of global citizenship.
We are exceptionally lucky to be so well resourced. With over 180 iPads available for 1:2:1 learning, technology is seamlessly embedded across our curriculum to support creativity, independence and engagement. Alongside this, our bespoke learning spaces – The Hub, The Hayroom, The Foxhole and The Base – allow us to meet the diverse needs of our learners and create calm, purposeful environments where every child can thrive.
Our dedicated staff team are always striving to refine and improve our approach to teaching and learning. High‑quality professional development is a real priority for us, with a strong focus on how children retain, retrieve and confidently articulate their learning.
Each year, we also have a whole‑school theme that runs through our curriculum and brings learning to life through exciting themed days and shared experiences. In 2025-2026, our theme is “The Power of Play”, exploring how we teach children to play, be creative and imaginative whilst looking at key opportunities to reinforce social skills and turn taking rules.
At Robin Hood Primary, we believe every child deserves a rich, memorable and inspiring primary school journey. That’s why we proudly offer ‘15 for All’ – a carefully planned range of experiences that every child will enjoy by the time they leave us and transition to secondary school.
From exciting enrichment opportunities and memorable trips to cultural, creative and outdoor experiences, ‘15 for All’ ensures no child misses out. These shared experiences help build confidence, spark curiosity, develop independence and create lasting memories that children carry with them long after they leave our doors.
It’s all part of our commitment to providing a truly inclusive, ambitious and joyful education – where every child can aim high, discover new passions and feel proud of what they’ve achieved.
As Headteacher, I feel incredibly proud and privileged to lead such a vibrant, caring and ambitious school community. The children, staff and families make Robin Hood Primary a very special place, and their enthusiasm and commitment shine through every day.
