KS2 Sports Day
To Start Robin Hood Primary School Olympic Week KS2 Had their Sports Day which was themed around the Olympics this year. Each pupil was selected to represent a Country there were six Countries that competed against each other overall. These included China, South Africa, Australia, Jamaica, Brazil and USA.
This year Sports day was set put differently to any other year as we were able to take part in Field events and Track events. This enabled every pupils to take some enjoyment out of the day.
Each team took part in 6 Field events that included Team Skip, Sit and Throw, Shot Putt, Standing Long Jump, Javelin, and Target Throw. From each event teams were able to score points that would then lead them into the afternoon with a total score ready to compete in the track events in the afternoon.
With each country still having a chance to become Olympic champion by the end of the day competition was rife.
As we know there can only be one winner, and this years Olympic Sports Day Champions were USA!!!!
