The boys first league game was a tough opponent in Westglade who were able to beat us twice last season. The boys new anything less than the hard work from last weeks Carnival Cup would result in the game potentially not going their way. The game started evenly and with the boys getting used to the new environment and bigger pitches it was Westglade who created the better chances and went 1-0 up. Robin Hood continued to battle hard and got their just rewards equalising just before half time with Logan poking the ball in the back of the net from close range.
The second half started scrappy with both teams unable to keep possession of the ball for long periods, Robin Hood had a glorious chance to go in front when Logan missed from close range, and Muruudul made a fantastic save to keep it 1-1. It was Westglade who won the game late on with a one on one nicely put away to make the game 2-1 to Westglade. A fair result but could have easily gone either way!
