Traditional Tales
Our topic for Spring 1 is Traditional Tales. Children have loved engaging with different stories, acting out the stories during continuous provision and creating some wonderful craft projects! Here is a snapshot of the fun we have had over the last few weeks in Nursery, engaging with our learning and having fun with our friends both indoors and outdoors!
The Ugly Duckling
As part of this topic, we were lucky to have The Nottingham Playhouse come to perform their version of The Ugly Duckling pantomime. Children thoroughly enjoyed this production, listened beautifully and engaged well with the cast!
Parents craft afternoon
It was wonderful to welcome parents in to school this week for our parents craft afternoon. Children loved to share their Traditional Tales learning and engage in some activities with their grown ups! Thank you so much to everyone that could make it, keep a look out for the next one!
Miss Harris and Mrs Richardson had a great morning at Stonebridge City Farm with some of our N2 children. They enjoyed visiting the different animals and giving them their breakfast! Children enjoyed their ride on the school minibus which is always an exciting, and sometimes new, experience! There will be another visit in the Summer term for the remaining N2 children before they head off to F2!
We love inviting parents and carers into school for our craft afternoons. At our Easter craft afternoon, children had the opportunity to create their own Easter bonnets to take home, as well as taking part in other craft activities such as colouring, painting and playdough. Look out for our next craft afternoon in the Summer term!
